Growing up my mom always hated when we played christmas before Thanksgiving. Then as I grew older my BFF for life Colleen also hated when people celebrated christmas too early. I always felt like such an odd ball when it came to christmas. Why was I the only one who loved it so much?
Then I met Fletcher and my life changed. I knew we were meant to be when I caught him listening to christmas music in September last year.
Since I nanny early in the morning and I love my husband/want to spend every minute with him Fletcher agreed to get up extra early with me and go to bed early too. He seriously rocks. One day I decided to sleep in a little longer but Fletcher still got up early. Around 5:45 I wake up to music blasting and I am FURIOUS. (I am grouchy when I am tired) I burst open the bathroom door to realize that it is christmas music coming from the speakers. In a split second my mood changes from 'I am about to kill someone' to 'OH MY GOSH I LOVE CHRISTMAS, MY LIFE, MY HUSBAND, THE WORLD IS PERFECT'.
I love christmas and I can't wait to spend it with my smokin' hott husband this year.
I could watch Christmas movies and sing Christmas carols year-round if it weren't for all those sideways glances. They don't call it the most wonderful time of year for nothin' :)
ReplyDeleteWinter is my favorite season, if i could play Christmas music all year long i would but then all my friends and my mom would look at me like i was crazy. Im planning my wedding right now and our first dance song is Mariah Carey All I Want for Christmas. i had to fight tooth adn nail for that song.. Moral of the story is i totally understand where you are coming from, the music is so soothing and makes everything so perfect in the imperfect world.

DeleteI love Christmas so much!!!! My boyfriend told me I couldn't decorate or anything until the day after Thanksgiving and you best BELIVE I had our apartment all decked out at midnight. I am SO EXCITED!!!!! This year till be better....we live in Canada this year and their Thanksgiving is this weekend!!!! So I'm TOTALLY decorating...even though it hasn't even been Halloween yet! Screw it. Christmas is the BEST!

ReplyDeleteMy future hubby is the same way. I'm a halloween lover, and am always upset how that holiday gets lost. I just love the dressing up, seeing kids excited, and just have fun carving pumpkins and watching Charlie Brown. However, Jason (my fiance) has changed Christmas for me. He starts singing Christmas music in June! Yes, JUNE! haha. But dear Lord, I love him haha!
