Guest post: Every Day is a New Adventure

Hey there, party people! If you are currently clicking the "mark as read" button on your readers just because this is a guest post, please don't! I promise that this will be quick and painless, and hey - you just might get a laugh or two from it (I actually don't know yet, because I'm only three sentences in, but we'll see where it goes from here).

Anyway, my name is Alyx, and I blog over at Every Day is a New Adventure. See, normally I wouldn't tell you all that boring stuff, but since I'm supposed to talk about an adventure I've had lately, I thought it was fitting. My whole life is a frickin' adventure. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. I think I'll spare you the bad adventures (like this one) and stick to the good stuff - like the past 10 months. 

Until today, I've been a (barely legal) resident of Germany. I was there as a foreign language assistant with the Fulbright Program, and it was amazing. Let me tell ya, folks - that was one big adventure. We went to places like this (and then some):

Learned how to flush toilets that look like this:

Ate ice cream that looks like this:

Had breakdowns like this:

Rejoiced when we got to shove our faces with food like this:

Spoke this language constantly (well, I did... the husband not so much):

And made some amazing memories along the way.

I could sit here and bore you to death with more mundane details about my life (you know - shoe size, height, number of pimples currently gracing my face - the boring stuff), but I won't. Instead, I'd love it if you could put on your adventurous panties and stop by to say, "Hello!"
